A former scoutmaster from Dukinfield has been sentenced to five years in jail after pleading guilty to sexual offences against young boys.

Peter Loco, 50, was in charge of First Bredbury and Woodley Scout Group during the 1990s when the offences took place.

At Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court he was convicted of 11 counts of indecent assault on a male, 13 counts of making indecent photographs of a child or children and one count of making indecent images of a child.

Police swooped on his Dukinfield address after it was discovered that he had uploaded an indecent image to social media.

When officers investigated his home on Lyne Edge Road, they found indecent images on his laptop as well as VHS tapes.
