Tributes have been paid to a Tameside grandmother and former school teacher tragically killed by what is believed to have been a young bull while out walking.

Marian Clode, 61, was on holiday with her family and out walking in Belford in Northumberland when she was charged by the animal which was with a herd of cattle.

Her family have appeared on local television and in the national press to warn people of the dangers of cattle with their young.

Tributes have been paid to Marian on social media, those who knew her describing her as a ‘lovely lady’.
