It was a glorious day for amateur football in the Hyde Sunday League at the weekend.

In the Jack Stone Cup, Roe Cross eased into the final with a comfortable 5-1 victory over West African Development.

They will now play Droylsden Sports in the final at Mossley FC on Friday, April 29 at 7pm.

In the Premier Division, Charlesworth edged out a 2-1 victory over Commie Bees.

In the Reporter Cup, Ridgehill Celtic produced a stunning display to beat Droylsden Catholic Club 7-3.

In Division One, table toppers Droylsden Sports prevailed in the clash of the day over title rivals Harehill Tavern A.

They came from 2-0 down to win 3-2.

Tintwistle keep the pressure on top spot after they had to grind out a 3-2 victory over the Tavern’s B-team. Brushes Rangers played out a 3-3 draw with FC Britannia, whilst Railway and Jubilee Rangers also shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
