Glossop’s Gareth Wilson to work at RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Gardener Gareth Wilson is joining two world famous garden designers to work at one of the world’s best known flower shows.

To add to the mix, they are doing it for internationally known restaurateur Raymond Blanc.

Gareth – owner of Glossop’s GK Wilson Gardening Services – is teaming up with Paul Hervey-Brookes and Andy McIndoe to help them with floral displays for Raymond at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Gareth has worked before with ex-world garden designer of the year winner and Chelsea gold medallist Paul, and record holder of 25 consecutive Chelsea gold medals Andy.

So, when the invitation came to get involved again, it was an offer he could not refuse.

Gareth, with a string of successes at RHS shows, said: “Some of my team and our partners were at a horticultural lecture just over a week ago presented by Andy.

“Afterwards, with Paul, we all went out for something to eat and they asked if I’d like to help them do the floral displays at ‘Jardin Blanc’ which is Raymond Blanc’s exclusive champagne and canapés restaurant at RHS Chelsea.

“It’s not a judged category but highly prestigious, especially working with Paul and Andy.

“We will also be working with them both at RHS Hampton Court Flower Show in June and July which we are very much looking forward to.

“It’s literally a dream come true to be working at Chelsea and I can’t wait to get there.

“Hopefully one day we will get to build a garden there too.”
