Almost £35,000 has been presented to good causes by the Freemasons of Audenshaw, Ashton and Mossley at their ninth Annual Charity Giving Evening.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Masonic Province of East Lancashire, John Pearson, and the Civic Mayor of Tameside, Cllr Vincent Ricci were among those who were joined by more than 100 people at Ashton Masonic Hall, including Freemasons and grant recipients.

Over the last nine years a total of £429,438 has been distributed, given by a total of around 400 Freemasons spread across Audenshaw, Ashton and Mossley.
