The Audenshaw Sharks retained their Greater Manchester crown at the Sainsbury’s School Games on Wednesday afternoon.

The event held at the Manchester Aquatics Centre was dominated by the Audenshaw swimmers who finished first in every event except for two.

Wunnai Tam extended his unbeaten run to 20 races and has never come anything but first in his performances for the school.

Jolan Bennett came second in the fly, Alex Campbell third in the backstroke and Kian Tevlin the winner of the freestyle.

The boys won all of the relays, the cannon in partnership with the girls of Fairfield School, to wrap up another incredible afternoon for Audenshaw swimming.

Chris Rose, Audenshaw’s Head of Rugby said: “We are immensely proud of the accomplishments of this unique group of athletes and look forward to the national qualifiers once again.”
