UPDATE Woman charged after man run over in Stalybridge

A woman has been charged after a man was run over in Stalybridge.

Katie Lomas, 20, of Huddersfield Road in Stalybridge, has been charged with section 18 assault, aggravated taking without consent and driving with excess alcohol.

She was remanded in custody and appeared at Tameside Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 1 February 2016).

At around 4.30am on Saturday 30 January 2016, police were called to Demesne Drive in Staybridge, following reports that a man had been run over by a car.

A 22-year-old man had with serious head injuries and multiple fractures.
He was taken to Salford Royal hospital, where he is currently in a critical condition.
