Recycle your trees to raise hospice funds
If you’re keen on helping the environment and helping local people at the same time then this is your opportunity and you won’t even need to leave the comfort of your home!
In conjunction with Tameside Council, Willow Wood Hospice is  giving people the chance to recycle their trees once the festive season is over and, of course, once you have taken all the decorations off!
Willow Wood’s head of fundraising / PR, John Fellowes said: “We have provided this service for many years and all though there are quite a lot more artificial trees around than there used to be, this campaign still raises vital funds for the hospice. Once again I would like to thank Tameside Council for helping the hospice with this campaign – it is doubtful that we could cope without their help.”
John added: “Besides the environmental side, this scheme does really save a lot of frustration – after all who wants to be finding pine needles in their car in July?”
There are several easy steps to take if you would like to recycle your tree, you can either visit, complete one of the 1,000s of distributed recycling forms, email the hospice at [email protected] or ring the Hospice Appeals office on (0161) 330 7788.
