Reuben’s Retreat is welcoming members of the local community to a series of special October open days.

The charity has completed Phase 1 of renovations at the Retreat and is opening its doors to allow members of the public a sneak peek inside.

As reported last week The Retreat is situated in 1.63 acres of Peak District parkland, at Glossop, and will completely renovate what was previously Woods Hospital.

The doors will be open every Sunday this October from 11am to 3pm so people can take a look at what the charity has achieved so far, meet the team and hear plans for the future.

Reuben’s Retreat was set up by parents Nicola and Mike Graham following the sad loss of their son Reuben in August, 2012, aged just 23-months-old from a rare and aggressive brain tumour.

Anyone is welcome to drop into The Lodge on Sunday, October 18 or 25, between 11am and 3pm. The address is Reuben’s Retreat, Park
Crescent, Glossop, Derbyshire, SK13 7BQ.
