Ashton’s new LEAP Centre leapt into life after being officially opened by MP Angela Rayner.

Clyde House, based in St Peter’s Ward, became The Leap Centre in spring this year thanks to support from Romec Ltd and supply partners.

The idea behind the centre is to provide an enabling community space inspiring the futures of local children and adults through opportunities to Learn, Enjoy, Achieve and Participate – hence LEAP.

Ashton MP Angela Rayner on opening the new Leap centre, stated: “It gave me immense pride to officially open the Leap Centre in St Peter’s Ward Ashton in my constituency.

“The Leap Centre has been made possible through the St Peter’s Partnerships who have concentrated their resources to provide support for vulnerable children and families, living within our local communities.

“This is a superb facility and I want to thank all those who have made this possible from the workers at Leap, the volunteers and the business community who all chipped in to support the project. I’m really pleased with this state-of-the-art facility.”

Angela was joined at the opening by local councillor Joyce Bowerman and representatives from local businesses that have contributed to the project.

The LEAP Centre also offers comfortable training facilities including a range of training resources and refreshments if required, with meeting rooms to hire from one hour upward.
