Children’s toys worth over £130,000 have been stolen from an industrial unit in Gorton.

The unit on Ambrose Street was broken into sometime between 3pm on Sunday (13 September) around 6am the following morning.

Once inside, they drove a truck inside and loaded it with toys and bikes before driving off.

Police Constable Stephen Wright said: “The toys stolen are unique and consist of push bikes and electronic cars that children can drive.  Unfortunately, we do not have any descriptions of the offenders but we do have images of the toys stolen.  I would ask anyone who may have been offered toys like this under suspicious circumstances to report it to police.

“I would also appeal for anyone who may have witnessed a white 7.5 tonne box van approaching or leaving the scene to contact us on 0161 856 1901 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
