Appeal after boy 12, sexually assaulted

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a 12-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by a man in Ashton.

The attack happened at around 1.40pm on Friday, August 28,  when the boy was in the public toilets in the Arcades on Warrington Street.

The offender is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, with a big nose. He was wearing big glasses and a red jumper with cream trousers.

Detective Constable Jason Pickles of Tameside division said: “This was a distressing ordeal for the victim. If you saw someone matching the above description please contact police.”
