Having endured two successive relegations and become one of the most renowned club’s in non-league circles, Hyde United are looking to bounce back with a bang next season.

And what’s more important is that for the first time in three years, the Tigers, led by Gary Lowe and Martyn Booty for the next two seasons, will be taking to the pitch as Hyde United.

Following months of hard work from various officials, Hyde became 100% officially fan owned two weeks ago.

Hyde have joined the growing number of teams owned by their supporters, which include Chester City, Wrexham and Macclesfield.

Since taking the reins at the club, the fans have wasted no time in stamping their authority at Ewen Fields.

At a meet the manager evening last Friday, Hyde revealed a ground-breaking sponsorship with the globally acknowledged ‘LADbible’ website.

Not only will the LADbible – The UK’s biggest entertainment and news website – have their logo emblazoned on both home and away kits, but the Walker Lane End at the stadium will also be renamed as TheLADbible end.

Arian Kalantari, Co-founder of TheLADbible’s parent company 65twenty, said: “We love the community feel and strength of support that Hyde United has built up amongst its fans, and the message that it sends.

“TheLADbible is a community in the same way and we have the same passion for supporting our community.”

Daz Mellor, Director of Hyde United, was equally as delighted at securing the deal.

After a turbulent few years, Daz, and the rest of the Hyde faithful, are looking forward to brighter times. He said: “It has been a roller coaster ride this last few years for Hyde fans but with recent good news like the club changing its name back to Hyde United, the fans purchasing the club and the return of Gary Lowe and Martyn Booty, I feel entering into a partnership with TheLADbible is yet another piece of the rebuilding jigsaw.”

Since the announcement was made, the club’s twitter feed has been awash with responses.

While some people couldn’t hide their disdain, others found it quite refreshing.

One person commented: “This is awesome”, while another said “probably a better (morally) sponsor than a bank or gas company”.

With the new campaign just five weeks away, both Gary and Martyn are starting to assemble a promising squad.

Putting pen to paper at the club for a second time in his career is Scott Spencer.

The striker, who was released by Stockport County over summer, was an integral part of Hyde’s title winning success four years ago.

Scott will be joined Lee Neville, Spencer Harris Andy Pearson and Lee Gregory – the latter a product of the Hyde United Academy.

More players are set to join the club over the next few days. Hyde Tweeted: “We will be announcing new players every day for the rest of the week. Don’t we just love to tease you!”
