Hyde FC New Badge

There’s a wave of enthusiasm and energy spreading throughout Hyde. Not only about the fact that the club has reclaimed its name as Hyde United, but also that it is going to become a supporters run club. The club will be incorporated into a Community Trust run by a management team and supervised by a Board of Trustees that are both elected by the membership.

First of all however, the need is to raise sufficient money to buy back the club from the current owner and to generate enough working capital to ensure that it operates as a thriving concern.

A challenge such as this cannot be
accomplished overnight, but there is a dedicated team of people working incredibly hard to make the dream a reality and the people of Hyde, as well as the fans, are now ‘putting their money where their mouth is.’

Many pledges have already been placed.  Hundreds of donations have been received and promises of support and sponsorship have been offered not only from local Hyde-based businesses, but also from people and organisations across the country and beyond.

You can help in many ways – to find out how plus the latest news on fundraising endeavours – see this week’s Tameside Reporter and Glossop Chronicle.
