The Romiley Trek by Anthony Bardsley.

I went for a walk around Romiley

I saw the lovely trees

I went past the Romiley forum

I went through the park

On the swings and roundabout.

I went on the slide

I played football, I bought some lemonade and some sweets

And a packet of crisps.

It was a lovely day,

It was very warm and sunny.

The park was green, the trees were brown.

The wooden bench was brown.

The birds were flying in the sky.

The dogs were barking.

It was a lovely day in the park.

The rain had fallen overnight

And the sparrows were splashing around.

The water was transparent

It was lovely and fresh

Fresh enough to drink.

The birds were sipping the water,

The worms were bobbing out,

The ants were crawling,

The snails were sliding.

I like Romiley, there are lots of hills and lovely scenery.

Werneth Low is very high up,

There are kestrels there, Swallows and Swifts.

The grass is green,

The hills are pleasant.

Werneth Low is the start of the Pennines.

I like the blue sky.
