After launching in January 2013, Stalybridge’s very own virtual gym – Gymcube.com  – is going from strength to strength after turning substantial investment into a new slick website, mobile application and extra new programmes.

The idea came to creator Kevin Foster-Wiltshire a couple of years ago when he identified that the main stumbling block for people wanting who wanted to go to the gym was just finding the time to get there.

The premise behind GymCube was to give people the opportunity to exercise in their own home and it now has 11,000 active members.

Kevin explained: “A lot of my clients could only attend the gym twice a week so I used to make exercise videos for them to take home so they could carry on exercising when they couldn’t attend the gym.

“Unfortunately, there’s only so many times you can watch the same video, so this is where GymCube came in.

“There really is nothing else with so much variety out there.”

Improvements

New programmes being filmed include The Ultimate Toned Body Programme, The Fit Mummy Manual, Little Black Dress Club and Summer Cellulite Blast.

This follows recent releases Total Tone, Real Girls Real Results, Cardio Ultra, The 30 Day Challenge, Armageddon and The 10 Minute Shred.

The exercise videos are filmed on location and always feature fitness presenters who are “experts in their field.”

Kevin added: “It’s exciting times for myself and my team, and GymCube members.

“Fortunately for us, after three years of trading, we have now received massive investment to allow us to create a brand new sophisticated website, employ six new full-time staff and purchase state-of-the-art equipment to enable GymCube to produce world class exercise videos featuring some of the UK’s leading instructors.

“Improvements to the current site, such as the ability to navigate via mobile phone and stream to your TV have also been implemented to make it more than sufficient to satisfy members until the new site is ready.”
