A defiant St Georges team had already won both titles before their penultimate matches, but the runner-up spots were still there for the taking.

The Champions justified their table topping position with an impressive 37 points in the Snooker League and 18 points in the Whist League.

Despite losing to St Georges in the final fixture, Mossley B still amassed enough points to secure a second place finish.

In the final Whist match, St Peters beat Mossley A to clinch a runners-up position.

Press Secretary, Ian Hopton, heaped praise on the winners and stated “Congratulations to all the league trophy winners.”

The league is continuously looking for new teams and players, so those with an interest should contact Ian on either of the following: 07736678303 or [email protected]
