The event, held at Bolton One swim Centre, gave rise to some spectacular performances from Aidan Tevlin, Kian Tevlin and James Clayton.

The brotherly duo were in fine form on the afternoon and racked up 6 personal bests between them, with year 11 student Aidan competing in the 100m free, 100m fly and 100m back, which was followed later in the day with impressive displays in the 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle.

His younger brother Kian, who is a year seven student at the school, found himself taking the plunge on five separate occasions.

His three personal bests came during the 50m backstroke, the 50m butterfly and the 50m freestyle.

The youngster also scooped a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1.25.66.

James Clayton rounded proceedings off nicely on the day and swam in five events despite suffering from illness.

Although he swam in four separate events which included a personal best in the 50m freestyle, the year eight student also took it upon himself to enter the 200m individual medley and finished with a time of 3.17.82.
