Reuben's hits magic million

Charity fundraisers at Reuben’s Retreat are celebrating after raising more than £1 million in just 23 months.
Reuben’s Retreat was launched in memory of Reuben Michael Graham, who tragically passed away aged just 23 months old.
Reuben had suffered with a very rare brain tumour which presented few symptoms and he sadly died in his mother’s arms just over a week after his diagnosis on August 21, 2012.

His parents Nicola and Michael Graham vowed that his death would not be in vain and while he was poorly had already began to create the concept of helping other parents like them.

Reuben’s Retreat will be a place where families with children with life-limiting or terminal illnesses can go to relax, recharge and create memories.

Nicola set the highly-ambitious £1million target within 23 months, as that is how long Reuben was with them and now her vision has been realised. She said: “Losing Reuben was and is the most torturous experience and we would of course give anything to have him back with us.”
