Penella leaves 'em laughing at national comedy festival

A Tameside comedian performed at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe for the first time last week, after making it to the final of a national comedy competition.

Penella Mellor, previously of Dukinfield before moving to Oldham, was one of seven people to battle it out in the ‘Amused Moose’ Comedy laugh Off Final.

The prestigious comedy competition saw the audience vote alongside international comedy experts in a bid to seek out the hottest breakthrough star of tomorrow.

Following in the footsteps of comedians such as Jimmy Carr, Jack Whitehall, Rhod Gilbert and personal idol Sarah Millican to name just a few, Penella told us that the competition has been a great experience.
