Teenage girl facing charge after tragedy.

A teenage girl has been issued with a summons to appear in court in connection with a fire in Manchester City Centre that claimed the life of a firefighter.

The tragic incident happened last year when Emergency Services were called to reports of a fire at Paul’s Hair World on Oldham Street, which is owned by Hyde businessman Paul Barnett.

Sadly fire fighter Stephen Hunt, 38, tragically lost his life in the July 13th blaze and following an investigation by officers at GMP’s Major Incident Team, a 15 year old was served with a summons on Monday.

She will apear at Manchester Cirty Magistrates Court on Monday June 2nd to face a charge of arson- reckless as to whether life endangered.
