Literally hundreds of shoppers descended on the newly opened Bargain Buys store in the heart of Ashton today – with Tameside Radio 103.6FM providing the entertainment with a roadshow outside the store.

New store Bargain Buys has opened in the landmark building that used to house Marks and Spencer in the town.

Bargain Buys is a new brand from Pound World, and it is only the fourth store of its kind in the country to open. It is multi-price and will open up forty retail jobs.

Chris Edwards Junior, Trading Director at Bargain Buys, said: “We’re delighted to be opening one of our first Bargain Buys in Ashton. Bargain Buys will help Christmas shoppers make huge savings on a range of different products from toys, gift ideas, groceries, home living, electricals and pet and will sell leading household brands including Cadbury’s Loreal, Fairy and Gillette.”
