Science teachers from China descended on Audenshaw School on a fact finding tour to find out more about lessons that are held here.

It is not the first time the school has welcomed a group of teachers visiting the UK from China.

The visitors were specialists in chemistry and the day at the school partially comprised of lesson visits to the Science Department.

Audenshaw pupils escorted the group on a tour of the school and there was an introduction to the school by eacherTim Shanker in the morning followed by the sharing of good practice in teaching science later.

The visitors were also treated to lunch in the school’s new canteen.

During the ‘farewell’ at the end of the day, many of the teachers commented on how much they had enjoyed their visit to the school.

They also found much of what they saw as quite similar to a typical day in their own schools in China.
